The butter-butt is our most common winter warbler here. They seem to be here later than usual this year. I don’t know whether these are late migrants headed north or if they may be hanging around to nest. We shall see. I do know that they are a lot prettier when they get their breeding plumage in. We don’t usually get to see much of that. I took these photos week 15, April 10-16, 2022.
