V-22 Osprey

The Marine Corps frequently send their pilots to Washington NC’s Warren Field to practice take-offs and landings. The Osprey is one of those tricky aircraft to fly because takes off vertically and then rotates its rotors forward for more speed. In the drills, they take off, rotate forward, fly a short circle of a couple of miles, return to the airport, rotate up again, and land. Repeat, repeat. The exercise is less maddening now that they have limited the sessions to about an hour each time. These shots are from January 28, 2022.
